Thomas J. Griffith Sr, 61, of Galatia, IL died Sunday September 11, 2011 in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 14, 2011 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday after 11 am until service time. Burial will be in Bankston Cemetery and Rev. Roy Hughes will officiate. He was born on November 16, 1949 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Andrew and Edith (Reynolds) Griffith. He married LaVone “Sue” Burchell on October 22, 1966 and she preceded in death on November 3, 1988. He is survived by a Daughter: Lisa Griffith of Marion, IL; Son: Tom (Rita) Griffith Jr. of Harrisburg, IL; Partner: Carol Grider of Galatia, IL; 5 sisters: Doris Stone of Harrisburg, IL; Ann Tedford, IL of Eldorado, IL; Nellie Pritchett of Marion, IL; Judy Talandis and Barbara Hurd both of Carrier Mills, IL; grandchildren: Troy, Dustin, Casey, Keelan, Tommy, Austin and Jordie and several nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his wife, parents and a sister: Ruby Auten.
