Monica Stewart, 86, of 608 East Washington St., Carrier Mills, IL died Thursday October 20, 2011, at 6:15 am at her residence. Private family services are pending. She was born on February 27, 1925 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Wiley & Ethel (Tavender) Taborn. She married Morris Stewart in 1943 and he preceded in death on February 6, 1989. She leaves to mourn her passing: a Daughter: Kathleen “Kathy” Stewart Lewin of Downers, IL; 2 Sons: Marshall Stewart of Owensboro, KY and Martin Stewart of Carrier Mills, IL; 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 8 sisters and 4 brothers.
