Elaine Jackson

Elaine Jackson, 72, of Stonefort, IL went to be with her lord and savior, surrounded by her family on Sunday November 13, 2011 at 7:56 PM at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, IN. Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2011 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Blackman Cemetery in Stonefort, IL. Reverend Keith Bunfill, Reverend Staley Langham and Reverend Bill Benton will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. She was born on July 29, 1939 in Stonefort, IL to the late Harry & Alice (Bennett) Smith. She married George A. Jackson on April 24, 1959 and he survives. She was a member of the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church where she was the youth leader for many years. She enjoyed her family very much especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband: George Jackson of Stonefort, IL; 2 Sons: Allen (Donna) Jackson and Jarrod Jackson both of Stonefort, IL; 2 Daughters: Penny (Bill) Benton of Evansville, IN and Allyson (Gary) Ryan of Carrier Mills, IL; Brother: William (Pat) Smith of Mt. Juliet, TN; 2 Sisters: Jamima (Gary) Farthing and Suzanne Wilson of Carrier Mills, IL; 9 Grandchildren: Elijah & Jordan Jackson; Taylor & Brock Jackson; John, Blake, Amanda & Kelli Benton and Kyleigh Ryan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
