Evelyn Davis, 88, of 21206 Holmes Road, Creal Springs, IL died Monday April 2, 2012 at 7:45 am at the River to River Assisted Living Center in Marion, IL. At Ms. Davis request all funeral services will be private and held at a later date. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is in charge of arrangements. She was born on July 24, 1923 in Stonefort, IL to the late Robert Lee and Opal (Newton) Parks. She was married to the late Lyman Edward Davis on March 24, 1940 and he preceded in death on October 13, 1968. She is survived by 5 sons: George (Gloria Joan) Davis of Creal Springs, IL; Jerry (Connie) Davis of Slidell, LA; John (Cathy) Davis of Marion, IL; Jimmy (Cindy) Davis of Pleasant Plains, IL and Kenney (Barbara) Davis of Crab Orchard, IL; daughter: Joan Renee Davis of Chatham, IL, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers: George Parks, Ezra Parks, Carl Parks and Gilbert Parks; sister: Flossie Parks Furlow and daughter in law: Jeannie Davis.
