Arlie Howard Lewis, 78, of 1105 North Main Street, Carrier Mills, IL; died Sunday July 1, 2012 at 7:49 am at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 5, 2012 at 6 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday after 2 pm until time of service. Reverend Harl Cockrum will officiate, cremation will follow, and burial of cremated remains will be at a later time at Zion Cemetery near Ozark, IL. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. He was born on September 13, 1933 in Stonefort, IL to the late William & Emma (Harper) Lewis. He married the former Dolores G. Falk on August 17, 1957 and she preceded in death on June 28, 2005. He was a retired service manager from Bowman Chevrolet in Clarkston, MI. He is survived by 3 sons: Mike (Sally) Lewis and Cris (Dawn) Lewis both of Waterford, MI and Lonnie (Gail) Lewis of Seargent, TX; 3 Daughters: Tamie (Kevin) Edwards of Gladwin, MI; Teresa (Tracy) Bailey and April (Kevin Merick) Lewis both of Holly, MI; Brother: Joe Lewis of Waterford, MI; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Dolores Lewis; Daughter: Karen Hillird; Grandson: Justin Johnson; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
