Betty L. Rushing

Betty Lou Rushing, 78, of 5 Walnut Street, Stonefort, IL died Monday August 13, 2012 at 6:50 am at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday August 16, 2012 at 11 am at Olive General Baptist Church near Ozark, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery near Ozark, IL. Reverend Jim Ashford and Reverend Jeff Owens will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Olive General Baptist Church. She was born on November 7, 1933 in Pope County, IL to the late Arthur James & Lillie (English) Hayden. She married Jewell Rushing on November 15, 1952 and he preceded in death on March 5, 1991. She was a member of the Olive General Baptist Church. She is survived by 3 Sons: Larry Rushing and Gary (Pam) Rushing both of Ozark, IL and David (Brenda) Rushing of Stonefort, IL; 2 Sisters: Lorene Welchell of Rosiclare, IL and Shirley Davis of Springfield, IL; 4 Brothers: Paul Hayden, Jack Hayden, Dale Hayden and David Hayden all of Rosiclare, IL; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Son: Steven Rushing; 3 sisters: Mary Sue Miller, Ellen Smock and Ruby Lay; and 3 brothers: Charlie Hayden, Bud Hayden and Billy Hayden.
