Don L. Taborn, 66, of 503 N. Mill Street, Carrier Mills, IL died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 27. 2013 at 10 am at Landmark House of Praise in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday after 9 am until service at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery and Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. Felty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born on October 19, 1946 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Lorenzo & Christine (Gibbs) Taborn. He married the former Carol Jones in 1974 and she survives, He was a retired coal miner and a US Army Veteran. He loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his Wife: Carol Taborn of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Daughters: Karen Taborn of Harrisburg, IL; Genea Lowe of Marion, IL; and Faith Taborn of Herrin, IL; 2 Sons: Orville Taborn of Harrisburg, IL and Gary Taborn of Murphysboro, IL; 2 Sisters: Ramona Williams of Palmyra, IN; and Ruth Ann Taborn of Carrier Mills, IL; 4 Brothers: Kelly Taborn of Hickman, KY; Bruce Taborn of Carrier Mills, IL; Dean Taborn of Carbondale, IL and David Taborn of Carrier Mills, IL; 10 Grandchildren and close friend Robert Parker of Harrisburg, IL. He was preceded in death by Daughter: Erika Taborn; 2 Granddaughters: Quencie Taborn and Olivia Taborn; 4 Brothers: Tyrone Taborn, Dahl Taborn, Orville Taborn and Terry Taborn; and 2 Sisters: Marlice Crittendon and Pauline Curry.
