Donna King, 76, of 5630 US Highway 45 South, Harrisburg, IL died Monday April 1, 2013 at 5:45 am at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held Thursday April 4, 2013 at 10:30 am at Cana Cemetery near Goreville, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Reverend Darrell Ford will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Shriners Childrens Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. She was born on January 11, 1937 in Union County, IL to the late Charles and Lovah (Miles) Smith. She married Donald R. King on May 7, 1955 and he survives. She loved to sew, especially making quilts, painting and all kinds of crafts. She was a member of the Homemakers Extension for many years, and she attended the Carrier Mills United Methodist Church for many years. She is survived by her husband: Donald King of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Sons: Randy (Debra) King of Carrier Mills, IL; Nate (Tammy) King of New Burnside, IL and Rick (Carolyn) King of Harrisburg, IL; 6 grandchildren: Roni (Jeff) Roberts of Harrisburg, IL; Allson (Stephen) Shea of Ft. Hood, TX; Nick King of Harisburg, IL; Justin King of Harrisburg, IL; Jake Street of Stonefort, IL and Matt Street of New Burnside, IL; 2 Sisters: Joyce Burns and Robyn Vaughn both of Marion, IL; 5 Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
