Margaret “Margy” Mercker, 80, of 350 Red Cedar Lane, Ozark, IL formerly of Bloomington, IL; died Tuesday April 16, 2013 at 10:15 am at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home in Carrier Mills, IL. As per the family wishes she will be cremated and a private burial will be in Lincoln, IL at a later date. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL has been entrusted with the arrangements. Box 192; Carrier Mills, IL 62917. She was born on May 15, 1932 in Springfield, IL to the late Chester and Margaret (Ostemeyer) Jones. She married Raymond Mercker on November 29, 1957 and he survives. She worked for more than 20 years at General Telephone Company before retiring and moving to Southern Illinois. She attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion, IL and also volunteered at Heartland Medical Center in Marion, IL. She is survived by her Husband: Raymond Mercker of Ozark, IL; 2 Daughters: Lyn (Mike) Corrigan of Clinton, IL; and Nancy (Paul) Blickensderfer of Bloomington, IL; Son: Dr David (Cheryl) Mercker of Jackson, TN; Sister Nancy (John) Kratzer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and she had 6 Grandchildren.
