Clarence Brackney Jr, 76, of 130 Karen Ann Lane, Carrier Mills, IL died Sunday June 23, 2013 at 2:15 am at Harrisburg Medical Center. Memorial services will be held Monday June 24, 2013 at 3 Pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Masonic Rites will be included in the services. Military rites will follow immediately after the religious service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. He was born on January 26, 1937 in Cabery, IL to the late Clarence and Beulah Mae (Martin) Brackney, Sr. He married Charlotte S. Kiser on April 24, 1982 and she survives. He was a retired machinist and a veteran of the Marine Corps. He was a member of Herscher Methodist Church, Carrier Mills American Legion, Manteno American Legion, Carrier Mills Masonic Lodge and he was also a Shriner. He volunteered as a driver to take ill children to the Shriners Hospital. He is survived by his wife: Charlotte Brackney of Carrier Mills, IL; 9 Children: Christopher McCray of Herscher, IL; Kelly Irby of Ripley, TN; Kathy McCray of Tinley Park, IL; Timothy McCray of Portland OR; Kevin Brackney of Manteno, IL; Kimberly Huth of O'Fallon, IL; Kathryn Eads of Mantachie, MS; Kristine Ferguson of Mempis, Tn and Jessie Claudio of Lincoln, IL; Best Friend: Ron Bosman of Sun Lakes, AZ; 2 Brothers: Benjamin House of Baton Rouge, LA; and George Brackney of Kankakee, IL; 3 Sisters: Dorothy Norder of Crescent City, IL; Delores Saltzgiver of Ocala, FL and Amelia George of Bradley, IL; 22 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Daughter: Susan Earnhardt and a Sister: Linda Dhans.
