Vickie L. Brown, 70, of 320 West Second Street, New Burnside, IL; died Monday June 24, 2013 at 1:01 am at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Funeral Services will be held Thursday June 27, 2013 at 7:30 pm are at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:30 pm until service time. Reverend Darrell Ford will officiate. Cremation will follow per her request. She was born on December 11, 1942 in Jellico, TN to the late Clifford & Bernice (Davenport) Shephard. She married David E. Brown on March 20, 1965 and he survives. She was a 1960 graduate of Carrier Mills/Stonefort High School, she enjoyed sewing and loved her family. She was a member of member of the New Burnside Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her Husband: David Brown of New Burnside, IL; Daughter: Shannon (Karl) Basler of Cobden, IL; Son: Cliff Brown of Lake of Egypt, IL; Sister: Sally Hope of Marion, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Justin (Branda) Brown, David Adam Brown, Hannah Danielle Brown, Joseph Elias Brown, Jakob Basler and Amanda Basler; 1 Great Grandchildren: Skie Basler. She was preceded in death by a Daughter In Law: Tammy Brown.
