Lloyd Pankey, 97, of Clinton, MO formerly of Carrier Mills, IL died Sunday August 4, 2013 in Clinton, MO. Funeral Services will be held Thursday August 8, 2013 at 12 noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday after 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. He was born on June 3, 1916 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Harry and Nora (Laymons) Pankey. He married the former: Genevieve Dalton on June 5, 1946 and she preceded in death on December 16, 1988. He was a retired coal miner, a member of the Land Street Church of God in Harrisburg, IL and a former member of the Springfield Oddfellows. He is survived by 2 Daughters: Margaret Camden of Clinton, MO and Bernice Sponsler of Peoria, IL; 2 Sons: Charles Wayne Pankey and Lloyd Pankey Jr. both of Clinton, MO; Sister: Esther Hancock of Harrisburg, IL; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Daughter: Janet Sue Brimberry and 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
