Steve Stricklin, 53, of 710 Charleston St., Harrisburg, IL died Tuesday September 24, 2013 at 1:55 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 28, 2013 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL. Reverend John Kennedy will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Harrisburg Town and Country Lions Club, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. He was born on December 31, 1959 in Harrisburg, IL to Walter E. and Neva (Davidson) Stricklin. He married the former Connie Kennedy on September 18, 1999. He was employed at the Harrisburg Township Highway Department. He was a member of the Harrisburg Town and Country Lions Club, a HAM operator and a volunteer for the Harrisburg Fire Department. He is survived by his Wife: Connie Stricklin of Harrisburg, IL; Daughter: Mindy Stricklin Taylor of Eldorado, IL; Mother: Neva Stricklin of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Grandsons: Ethan and Christopher Taylor of Eldorado, IL; 2 Sisters: Teresa (James) McMillan and Nicole Stricklin of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Nieces: Ashley (Brent) Volkert and Monica Bartimus; 3 Nephews: Brandon McMillan, Nicholas Dye and Zachary Dye; 3 Stepdaughters: Debbie Harris of Manchester, TN; Tina Sasser of Knoxville, TN and Angela LeMaster of Dayton, OH; 9 Step grandchildren; 1 Step Great grandchild; Mother in Law: Wilma Kennedy of Carrier Mills, IL; 3 Sisters In Law: Karen Lutwinski, Donna Kennedy and Susan Bensavage; 2 Brother in Laws: John Kennedy and Pat Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his Father: Walter E. Stricklin.
