Wilma M. Kennedy

Wilma M. Kennedy, 89, of 216 Trammel Street; Carrier Mills, IL died Sunday October 13, 2013 at 4:03 pm at her residence. Graveside memorial services will be held Friday October 18, 2013 at 11 am at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL. There will be no visitation all friends should go directly to the cemetery. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family. She was born on December 31, 1923 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Johnny and Bessie (Day) Johnson. Wilma spent her life caring for children along with adults at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home where she worked. She also worked at the Carrier Mills Grade School as a cook until she went to Wisconsin and worked in a Children's home from which she retired. She then moved back to Carrier Mills where she resided until her passing. She is survived 6 Children: MaDonna Kennedy of Woodbury, TN; Karen Lutwinski of Harrisburg, IL; Patrick Kennedy of Carrier Mills, IL; Susan Bensavage of Harrisburg, IL; Connie Stricklin of Harrisburg, IL and John Kennedy of Pelham,TN; 11 Grandchildren: Kelly Jo, Brandy, Anthony, Blaze, Patrick M. (Sheila), Susie, Todd, Cavin, Debbie, Tina, Angie, Tressie and family; 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, and special daughter in law: Janet Kennedy. She was preceded in death by a Son: Dennis E. Johnson and 2 Sisters: Lola Wilson and Thelma Kocwalie.
