Margaret A. Smith, 79, of 705 South Granger Street, Harrisburg, IL died Monday February 24, 2014 at 10:55 am at Harrisburg Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday February 28, 2014 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Friday from 11 am until services time. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery and Bishop Derek Eurales will officiate. She was born on September 9, 1934 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late David Daniel and Irene (Cross) Griffin. She married Franklin Clayton Smith in 1954 and he preceded in death in 1989. She was a member of the First Opportunity Freewill Baptist Church in Carrier Mills, IL. She is survived by 3 Children: Jeffrey (Laura) Smith of Harrisburg, IL; Tamala Smith Crain of Harrisburg, IL and Terrence (Angela) Smith of Carrier Mills, IL; Sister In Law: Veleria Griffin of Carrier Mills, IL; 9 Grandchildren: Gus Zertuche, Joe Zertuche, Cassie Smith, Corey Williams, Cherice Parker, Micaela Flemmings, Jeffrey F. Smith, Shenica Smith, and Michael Smith; 14 Great Grandchildren: Pharoah, Asha, Jasmine, Casha, Racheal, Nick, Paige, Abby, Anniston, Macy, Arcelia, Antonio, Gabe and Sergio. She was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Cecil Griffin, David Griffin Jr, Leo Griffin, Theopolis Griffin, LC Williams; 5 Sisters: Anna Mae Rouse, Theda Duncan, Etta Lard, Colleen Mott, and Eleanor Bell.
