Ronnie Dean Horton

Ronnie Dean Horton, 62, of 24721 Pulliam Road, Thompsonville, IL died Monday April 14, 2014 at 5: 35 am at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Funeral services will be held Friday April 18, 2014 at 11am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be in the Somers Church Cemetery and Rev. Clint Cullum will officiate.   He was born on March 6, 1952 in Saline County, IL to the late Clark and Marie (Keasler) Horton.   He married the former Elaine Headrick on July 31, 1970 and she survives.   He was a logger and mechanic and a member of the Sommers Community Church. His greatest joy was his family and his grandchildren.   He is survived by his Wife: Elaine Horton of Thompsonville, IL; 2 Sons: Ronnie (Vicki) Horton and Matt (Debbye) Horton both of Thompsonville, IL; Daughter: Heather (Brad) Dorris of Harrisburg, IL; 7 Granchildren: Dakota Horton, Harlie Horton, Matthew Horton, Dalton Dorris, Brianna Dorris, Wyatt Dorris and Colton, Dorris; 2 Brothers: Cletus (Della) Horton of Harrisburg, IL and Allen (Sandy) Horton of Harco, IL; Sister: Barb (John) Fugate of Carrier Mills, IL and Sister In Law: Emma Horton of Carrier Mills, IL.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother: Bobby Dale Horton and 2 infant siblings.
