Doris J. Stone, 73, of 65 Ledford School Road, Harrisburg, IL died Saturday April 19, 2014 at 7:10 am at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 22, 2014 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery and Reverend Harold Miller will officiate.   She was born on November 12, 1940 in Saline County, IL to the late Andrew and Edith (Reynolds) Griffith.   She married Calvin Stone Sr. on May 15, 1956 and he survives.   She worked at Harrisburg Medical Center for many years as a EKG specialist and was also a Certified Nursing Assistant.   She was a member of the North America Baptist Church.   She is survived by her husband: Calvin “Pee Wee” Stone Sr of Harrisburg, IL; Son: Calvin Stone Jr. of Springfield, IL; 3 Daughters: Sharon Akins of Paducah, KY, Darla Gibbs of Thompsonville, IL and Lola Maynor of Harrisburg, IL; 4 Sisters: Ann Tedford of Eldorado, IL, Judy Talandis of Harrisburg, IL, Nellie Pritchett of Marion, IL and Barbara Hurd of Carrier Mills, IL; 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by: Son: Clifford Eugene Stone, Grandchild: Wilma Jean Gibbs and Brother: Tom Griffith.
