Helen Annie Sheff, 61, of 7200 Battleford Road, Stonefort, IL died Friday June 20, 2014 at 10:25 pm at her residence. Graveside services will be held Tuesday June 24, 2014 at 2 pm at Reids Chapel Cemetery south of Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12: 30 to 1: 30 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Father Tom Barrett will officiate. She was born in July 4, 1942 in Alton, IL to the late Thomas and Helen (Slawson) Gegg. She married Paul M. Sheff on November 1, 1968 and he preceded in death on July 25, 2012. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Alton, IL. She is survived by 2 Daughters: Dorothy Test of Vienna, IL and Brenda (Robert) Workman of Harrisburg, IL; Son: Paul (Angel) Sheff Jr. of Florida; 7 Grandchildren: Jacob Burell, Matthew Burrell, Tresa Sheff, Haley Sheff, Haven Test, Jessica (Jake) Durfee and Kaylee Workman; 1 Great Granchild: Emily Durfee; 2 Sisters: Delores (Bobby) Ellis of Alton, IL and Darlene (Joe) Kiefer of Florissant, MO; Brother: Thomas (Tina) Gegg of Alton, IL; Great Uncle: Jack Slawson of South Carolina and Special Cousin: Frank Wright. She was preceded in death by Son: Joe Sheff, Grandchild: Dakota Shoemaker, Sister: Brenda Gegg; her husband and parents.
