Barbara Brannock

Barbara Brannock, 80, of 204 West Walnut Street, Carrier Mills, IL died Thursday July 17, 2014 at 9:45 am at her residence. Memorial services will be held Tuesday July 22, 2014 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 am until service time. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. She was born on June 28, 1934 in Whittington, IL to the late Willis Pete and Marge (Strain) Conner. She married Robert Brannock on July 8, 1968 in Kankakee, IL and he survives. She was a member of the Main Street Church of God in Carrier Mills, IL, a former member of the Carrier Mills Township Board. Barbara was a political activist for many years and loved every minute of it. She is survived by her husband: Robert “Bob” Brannock of Carrier Mills, IL; 5 Children: Edward (Lynn) Wendler of Coal City, IL; Twana (Jerry) Risley of Harrisburg, IL; Mike (Billie) Wendler Sr. of Carrier Mills, IL; Becky Brannock of Joilet, IL and Bobby Brannock of Houston, Tx; Sister: Linda Hurley of Rest Haven, IL and Brother: Darwin Conner of Dwight, IL; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant sister: Ann Margaret Conner.
