Elizabeth “Liz” Hopson, 88, of 120 South Land Street, Harrisburg, IL died Saturday July 26, 2014 at 9:30 pm at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, IL. Funeral services will be held Monday July 28, 2014 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Monday from 11 am until service time. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. Reverend Bill Morris will officiate. She was born on July 16, 1926 in Morganfield, KY to the late Walter and Edna (Marshall) Quartermous. She worked many jobs in her lifetime including electronics factory, and as a waitress. She loved to play bingo, enjoyed reading and was an avid animal lover. She is survived by 2 Daughters: Jane Tarrence of Harrisburg, IL and Linda (Randy) Kennett of Calvert City, KY; Son: Tom Farthing of Harrisburg, IL; 7 grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
