Billie Hankins, 80, of 322 West Raymond Street, Harrisburg, IL died Saturday December 20, 2014 at 10:30 am at Harrisburg Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 23, 2014 at 12 noon at the Equality Christian Center. Visitation will be held Tuesday after 10 am until service time at the church. Reverend Larry Mitchell, Reverend Ted Boulds, Reverend Ken Blumenstock and Reverend Allen Porter will officiate. Memorials to the Equality Christian Center is the preferred choice of contribution in lieu of flowers. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is in charge of arrangements. She was born on October 29, 1934 in Raleigh, IL to the late Roy and Florene (Besheres) Stevens. She married Edward “Bud” Hankins on September 2, 1972. She was a member of the Equality Christian Center. She is survived by her husband, Edward “Bud” Hankins of Harrisburg, IL; 5 Children, 6 stepchildren, 1 sister, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. She always said one of these days I'm going to fly up out of here and on Saturday morning that happened. Her greatest wish was for her children and grandchildren to be ready to meet the Lord.
