Martin L. Stewart, 49, of 608 East Washington Street, Carrier Mills, IL died Sunday December 28, 2014 at 6:28 pm at Harrisburg Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Friday January 2, 2015 at 11 am at Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Friday from 9 until 10:30 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. He was born on July 6. 1965 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Morris and Monica (Taborn) Stewart. He worked for many years at the Golconda Job Corp, and helped coach basketball at Carrier Mills High School. Martin loved all sports and enjoyed teaching the younger kids. He was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Carrier Mills, IL. He is survived by 2 Sons: Jake (Nicole) Stewart of Harrisburg, IL and Jalen Stewart of Carrier Mills, IL; Daughter: McKenzie Stewart of Harrisburg, IL; Brother: Marshall Stewart of Owensboro, KY; Sister: Kathleen (Henri) Lewin of Bolingbrook, IL; 3 Grandchildren: Kinzley Stewart, Kaylex Gibbs and Adalyn Stewart; Companion: Sarah McKenzie of Carrier Mills, IL; Former Wife: Tracy Stewart of Carrier Mills, IL and several other family members.
