Eva L. Hancock, 89, of 512 North Mill Street, Carrier Mills, IL died Wednesday January 21, 2015 at 6:50 pm at Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg, IL. Funeral services will be held Sunday January 25, 2015 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Sunday after 11 am until time of the service. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Harrisburg, IL, Reverend David Smith will officiate. She was born in Stonefort, IL to the late Louie and Clara (Brandon) Diefenbach. She worked as a waitress for many years at Kressge Company in Harrisburg, IL and was also employed for quite some time at Dairy Brand in Harrisburg, IL. She was a member of Bankston Fork Baptist Church north of Carrier Mills, IL and also a member of the Carrier Mills Rebecca Lodge. She is survived by a Son: Darrell (Jennette) Hancock of Chicago, IL; 7 Grandchildren: Darren Hancock, Daniel Hancock, Jeff Mumford, Tammy Rabbioni, Jimmy Mumford, Tim Mumford and Elysia Businelle; 9 Great Grandchildren; Brother: Bertis Diefenbach of Benton, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by Daughter: Patricia Holifield,; 5 Brothers: Norman Diefenbach, Ed Diefenbach, Bill Diefenbach, Walter Diefenbach and Henry Diefenbach and 4 Sisters: Nina McIntosh, Myrtle Ashway, Louise Woolard and Jennette Clayton.
