Clarence R. "Flat Rock" Adams

Clarence R. “ Flat Rock” Adams, 91, of 209 East Trammel Street, Carrier Mills, IL died Tuesday February 24, 2015 at 7:43 pm at Harrisburg Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Friday February 27, 2015 at 12 noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Friday after 11 am until service time. Reverend Jerry Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery west of Carrier Mills, IL. He was born on August 14, 1923 in Saline County, IL to the late Lloyd and Eckles (Yezek) Adams. He married the former Shirley D. Wiseman on May 1, 1943 and she preceded in death on September 19, 2012. He was a retired coal miner working for over 43 years at Sahara Coal Company. He was a member and Deacon of the Stonefort Antioch Church. He also attended and was a former Deacon at Providence Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Carrier Mills, IL. He is survived by a Daughter: Debbie (Jim) Carrigan of Carrier Mills, IL; Son David (Kathy) Adams of Sparta, IL; Daughter In Law: Dee Adams of Harrisburg, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Tina Adams, Julie Adams, Billy (Thea) Adams, Natalie Futrell, Brittany (Daniel) Wix, and Misty (Jeremy) Fulkerson; 11 Great Grandchildren: Keysha (Chad) Bates, Jayden Ditterline, Luke Wix, Evelyn Marie Futrell, Lexee Fulkerson, Hayden Fulkerson, Ryli Fulkerson, Phoebe Adams, Abby Adams, Samuel Adams and Olivia Adams, 6 Great Great Grandchildren: Lydea Bates, Audrey Bates, Sydney Bates, Brielle Ditterline, Mackenzie Sisson and Trace Sission. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Shirley Adams, Son: Lloyd Adams and Daughter: Becky Adams.
