Corinne Chavous, 101, resident of Wabash Christian Retirement Center, Carmi, IL formerly of Carrier Mills, IL died Monday August 10, 2015 at 12:16 am at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. Graveside services will be held Thursday August 13, 2015 at 11 am at Sandhill Cemetery in rural Carmi, IL. There will be no visitation, all family and friends should meet at the cemetery. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL has been entrusted with the arrangements. She was born on May 9, 1914 in Indian Mounds, TN to the late William and Ella M. (Harris) Alark. She is survived by a son: Tony Blackwell Jr. of Carrier Mills, IL. 8 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.
