Joe Nathan Beatty

Joe Beatty, 82 of 5725 US Highway 45 South, Harrisburg, IL died Tuesday September 1, 2015 at 7:06 am at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 5, 2015 at 11 am at the Harrisburg Church of Christ. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 am until service time at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Garden Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL. Bob Colburn will officiate. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL have been entrusted with the services. He was born on January 13, 1933 in Clarksville, Texas to the late Edmond B. Beatty and Cathryn (McCurley) Hudson. He married the former Rosilia Alegri on October 18, 1975 and she survives. He had a bachelors degree in agriculture and worked and retired from the U.S. Forest Service. He was a member of the Harrisburg Church of Christ. He loved to go fishing, gardening and playing tennis when he was younger. But his biggest passion and what he loved the most was going to church. He is survived by his wife: Rosilia Beatty of Harrisburg, IL; Daughter: Zannette of San Diego, IL; 2 Aunts: Pepita Quinney of San Antonio, TX and Rosilina Guidrey of Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; 5 Sister In Laws: Mariecarmen Adams of Idaho, Roberta Tagnyam of the Phillipines, Corazon Metzger of Virginia, Calixta Martin and Fidela Monaghan both of Australia; 3 Brother In laws: George Alegri, Faustino Alegri and Juan Alegri all of the Phillipines, several nieces and nephews including: Ruby Baker of Herrin, IL and Glen Wienstroder of New York.
