Barbara L. Hurd, 62, 45 Bryant Road, Harrisburg, IL died Thursday September 10, 2015 at 3:25 am at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, KY. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 12, 2015 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Saturday after 9 am until service time. Reverend Gary Simmons will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. She was born on December 1, 1952 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Andrew and Edith (Reynolds) Griffith. She married Jackie L. Hurd on August 5, 1978 and he survives. She worked at Harrisburg Manufacturing (Hat factory) for many years and later was employed at the Harrisburg Glove Factory. She is survived by her Husband: Jackie L. Hurd of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Sons: Jack R. Hurd of Muddy, IL and Will Hurd of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Daughters: Carla Natzel and Melissa Hurd both of Michigan; 3 Sisters: Ann Tedford of Eldorado, IL, Nellie Pritchett of Marion, IL and Judy Talandis of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Son: Jack L. Hurd Jr.; Brother: Thomas Griffith; and 2 Sisters: Doris Stone and Ruby Auten.
