Larry A. Murphy, 71, of 110 South Walnut Street, Stonefort, IL; died Thursday November 19, 2015 at 5: 55 pm at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday November 23, 2015 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be Monday after 11 am until service time. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery and Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. He was born on February 19, 1944 in Evansville, IN to the late Joseph and Aline (Kennon) Murphy. He was a retired coal miner working many years for Amax Coal Company. He is survived by: 2 Daughters: Hope Reifers of Stonefort, IL and Cindy Ellis of Mt. Vernon, IL; 3 Brothers: Harold Murphy of Carrier Mills, IL; John Murphy of Ozark, IL and David Murphy of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Sisters: Mary Ruth Milburn of Harrisburg, IL and Betty Jo Hoffman of Elgin, IL; 11 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a Daughter: Pam Murphy, Son: Randy Murphy, Brother: Ben Murphy and 3 grandchildren.
