Linda Richardson

Linda Richardson, 68, of 604 McKinley Street, Stonefort, IL died Tuesday June 7, 2016 at 2:59 pm at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 11, 2016 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Saturday after 9 am until the service time. Reverend Laren Evetts and Reverend Kenny Griffin will officiate. Cremation will follow and burial will be at a later date in Salem Cemetery. She was born on February 19, 1948 in Stonefort, IL to the Roy Van and Ruth (Stacey) Stricklin. She married Amos Richardson on Oct 26, 1990 and he survives. Linda worked as a beautician for many years, she also worked and ran many restaurants, she was well known for her cooking; one of her final occupations was as a gate attendant at Rend Lake. She also loved her dogs, Peanut and Lenny. She attended church at New Salem Baptist Church in Carrier Mills, IL and also Mt. Moriah Baptist Church near Creal Springs, IL. She is survived by Husband: Amos Richardson of Stonefort, IL; Children: Teresa Martin of Creal Springs, IL, Doug Richardson of Galatia, IL and Becky Jackson of Harrisburg, IL; Sister: Shirley Ann Miller of Stonefort, IL; Grandchidren: Jessica Ford, Cassie Richardson, Celiece Peckinpaugh, Carly Richardson, Ashley Payne and Kristin Lukancic and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daughter: Linda Kay Herring, Sister: Louise Powell and 2 Brothers: Hubert “Sonny” Stricklin and Danny Stricklin
