Taunya R. Russell, 53, of 424 North Mill Street, Carrier Mills, IL died Friday September 30, 2016 at her residence. Visitation will be held Monday October 3, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Private graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday October 4, 2016 at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. Reverend Harl Cockrum will officiate. She was born on April 3, 1963 in Marion, IL to the late Paul Russell and Beverly (Richey) Russell whom survives. She was a member of the Indian Camp Baptist Church located in the Dykersburg community in Williamson County, IL. Taunya enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hiking. She was a avid music fan liking many different genres. She loved her animals but the most important thing was her nieces, they were her world. She is survived by her Mother and her Mother's Companion: Beverly Russell and Deon Wallace both of Carrier Mills, IL; Sister: Heather (Scott) Dewar of Harrisburg, IL 2 Nieces: Taryn Dewar and Tori Dewar both of Harrisburg, IL; Aunt: Paula (Dick) Santy of Harrisburg, IL; Uncles: Mike (Debbie) Richey of Harrisburg, IL; Jeff (Carol) Richey of Carrier Mills, IL and Greg (Theresa) Richey of Carrier Mills, IL; Cousins: Laura Shewmake, Jan Kuppart, Melissa Etherton, Chad Richey, Melanie Wyatt, Erin Street and B.G. Richey and a Friend of 14 years: Jessica Van Meter of Carrier Mills, IL. She was preceded in death by her Father: Paul Russell; Aunt: Brenda Odum and Uncle: David Odum.
