Julie L. Gibbons, 56, of 640 Town Park Road, Harrisburg, IL died Saturday October 15, 2016 at 1:46 am at the home and surrounded by her brother and sister in law. Her wishes was to be cremated. There are no services being planned at this time. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details. She was born on December 27, 1959 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Billy and Linda (Noonan) Gibbons. She was a 1978 graduate of Carrier Mills/Stonefort High School. After graduation sh continued her school until she became a registered nurse. She worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years until her illness forced her retirement. She was a member of the Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg, IL. One of her greatest loves was her bulldogs: Margie and Jenny. She is survived by her Brother and Sister In Law: Bruce and Kim Gibbons of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Children: Kaci Hegdahl, Kory Sumner and Kody Sumner all of Portland, Oregon; 3 Grandchildren: Maddeline, Stella and Opal; 2 Nieces: Molly and Meagan and a Nephew: Christopher; and a special friend: Sandy Cowsert of Golconda, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and a Brother: Larry Gibbons.
