He was born on June 22, 1938 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Kenneth Carrier and Lillian (Jenkins) Carrier Holland. He married the former Sharon Jackson on October 31, 1986. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years. He worked as security guard in Elgin, IL for many years. He was a police officer in Harrisburg, IL and Carrier Mills, IL before going to work at Brushy Creek Coal until his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years: Sharon Carrier of Carrier Mills, IL; Son: Fredrick Carrier of Castle Rock, WA; Daughter: Patty Carrier of Columbus, OH; 2 Sisters: Roberta Wallace of Eldorado, IL and Linda (Bill) Staley of Carrier Mills, IL; 3 Brothers: Terry (Cheryl) Carrier of Harrisburg, IL; Kenneth (Sukin) Carrier of Harrisburg, IL and Joseph R. Carrier of Carrier Mills, IL; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Ferris Carrier and Mike Holland.
