Carl Edward Choate

Carl Edward Choate, 89, of 15 West 4th Street, New Burnside, IL died Monday November 7, 2016 at 7:57 pm at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 10, 2016 at 12 noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Little Saline Cemetery in Stonefort, IL. Reverend Les Buie will officiate. He was born on October 5, 1927 in Tunnel Hill, IL to the late Garfield and Eva Mae (Yandell) Choate. He married the former Jo Evans on February 8, 1954 and she survives. He was a member of the New Burnside Community Church. Carl enjoyed going to church, watching baseball and basketball. He is survived by his wife Jo Choate of New Burnside, IL; 3 Sons: Marty Choate of New Burnside, IL; Randy (Debbie) Choate of Ozark, IL and Brian (Laura) Choate of Herrin, IL; Daughter: Kelley Zaranti of Marion, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Lance (Desiree) Choate, Forrest Zaranti, Elizabeth (T.J.)Glowiak, Arial Choate, Leslie (Sterling)Price and Kolten Choate. 5 Great Grandchildren: Delaney Choate, Presley Choate, Selena Hackney, Siri Hackney and Maximus Price. He was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Beulah Breeden and Irene Bozarth.
