Albert Addison Appel, 73, of 124 Appel Road, Stonefort, IL died Thursday December 1, 2016 at 6:15 am in Herrin Hospital in Herrin, IL. Per his request he was cremated and private family burial was accorded at the Joyner Cemetery in Stonefort, IL. He was born on December 13, 1942 in Stonefort, IL to the late Albert Addison and Lois Jeanette (McSparin) Appel. Al made a career in the U.S. Navy serving our country in many places including during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the the Old Stonefort Seventh Day Baptist Church and a member of the Joyner Cemetery Board. He is survived by 4 Brothers: James Wesley Appel of Orfordville, WI; Paul Edward Appel of Stonefort, IL; Robert Fredrick Appel of Palm Desert, CA and Joel Edwin Appel of Edgerton, WI; 2 Sisters: Mona Marie Reierson of Edgerton, WI and Brenda Carol Cornleo of Jamesville, WI and several nieces and nephews.
