Charlyan K. Cooper, 73 of 304 East Church Street, Galatia, IL died Thursday January 26, 2017 at 10:00 am at the home of her daughter. Graveside services will be held Monday January 30, 2017 at 11 am at East Salem Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IL. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 6 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Burial will be in East Salem Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IL. She was born on October 14, 1943 in Mt. Vernon, IL to the late Charles and Hazel (Molean) Mooney. She married Larry Cooper on January 1, 1971 and he survives. She was a homemaker and worked over 15 years at the Harrisburg Walmart until her retirement. She is survived by her Husband: Larry Cooper of Galatia, IL; Son: Bennie Cooper of Norris City, IL; Daughter: Robyan Cooper of Galatia, IL; Brother: Fred Mooney of Orchardsville, IL; 2 Grandchildren: Heather Hendrix of Eldorado, IL and Chalon McGehee of Galatia, IL; Great Grandson: Owen Carter Hendrix of Eldorado, IL and Lifelong friend Carolyn Staley of Mt. Vernon, IL.
