Julius T. Lumpkin,74, of 355 Ledford Road, Harrisburg, IL died Thursday January 26,2017 at 9:50 am at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday February 1, 2017 at 12 noon at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday after 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL with military rites by the Carrier Mills American Legion, Harrisburg American Legion and the Air Force Ritual Team. He was born on September 29, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Julius and Willa Mae (Jones) Lumpkin. He married the former Julie Anne Ivy and she survives. He was a Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Julius worked for many years as a counselor at the Vienna Correctional Center and later on, at the Social Security Administration. He is survived by his Wife: Julie Lumpkin of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Daughters: Ylonda (Fredrick) Davis of Louisville, KY, Ramona Lumpkin of Harrisburg, IL and Kim Lumpkin of Louisville, KY; 6 Grandchildren: Maureeshia Lumpkin, Jabrayle Lumpkin, Destiny George, Derek Watson, Jaxson Davis and Adriana Davis; 2 Sisters: Betty Johnson and Cecilia Lloyd and a Brother: Michael Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and a Son: Derrick Lumpkin.
