John L. Feazel

John L. Feazel, 81, of 6727 US Highway 45 South, Carrier Mills, IL died Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 3:00 am at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL. Memorial services will be held Saturday April 22, 2017 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Saturday after 9 am until service time. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL. He was born on May 28, 1935 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Louie and Opal (Price) Feazel. He married the former Rita Sweat on August 14, 1971 and she survives. He was a retired coal miner and mechanic. John loved C.B. and Ham radios. He also enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles. He and Rita owned and operated Carrier Mills Billiards and Grill from 1989 until 1992. he was also a former member of the Carrier Mills Masonic Lodge and a former Shriner. He is survived by his Wife: Rita Feazel of Carrier Mills, IL; 7 Children: Louie D. Feazel of Harrisburg, IL, John David (Lisa Travelstead) Feazel of Galatia, IL, Stanley Colleen (Shawn) Mills of West Frankfort, IL , Theresa (Randy) Partain of Harrisburg, IL, Randy Feazel of Harrisburg, IL, Tom (Beth) Deuel of Mt. Clemens, MI and Robin Branch of Carrier Mills, IL; 3 Sisters: Lillian (Delbert) Hurd of Florida, Linda (Kenneth) Butler of Harrisburg, IL and Peggy Pickering of Harrisburg, IL; Special Friend: Maritza Cortez of Harrisburg, IL; 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a Grandchild: Madison D. Feazel and 2 Brothers: Vernon DeWitt Jr. and Billy DeWitt.
