Virgil Eugene Lindle

Virgil Eugene Lindle, 82, of 123 South Granger Street, Harrisburg, IL died Thursday August 17, 2017 at 5:15 am at his residence. Graveside services will be held Saturday August 19, 2017 at 11 am at North America Cemetery. There will be no visitation, all family and friends should come directly to the cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the U.S. Air Force, Carrier Mills American Legion and the Harrisburg American Legion Ritual Teams. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details. He was born on June 18, 1935 in Sturgis, Kentucky to the late Tom and Mary (Gogue) Lindle. He married the former Mary Serles on June 21, 1957 and she preceded in death on August 12, 2017. Virgil was retired from the United States Air Force. He began his career on February 3, 1954 and retired some 30 years later. He is survived by his Brother: Leroy Lindle of Carrier Mills, IL; Sister: Marie Futch of Harrisburg, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Lindle; 2 Sons: Danny Lindle and Jeffrey Lindle and a Sister: Lavada Rice.
