Donald Dean Pyle, 83, of 1550 Old Town Road, Stonefort, IL died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 3:16 am at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday November 28, 2017 at 1 pm at the Stonefort General Baptist Church in Stonefort, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday after 11 am until service time. Reverend Jeff Owens will officiate. Burial will be in Wise-Robinson Cemetery near Ozark, IL. Memorials may be made to the Stonefort General Baptist Church or Wise-Robinson Cemetery. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL has been entrusted with the services. He was born on September 22, 1934 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Harley and Genevieve (Milburn) Pyle. He married the former Dolores June Appel on October 7, 1953 and they were happily together for over 64 years, He worked as a coal miner until his retirement, where he was employed at the Will Scarlet coal mine. He was a member of the Stonefort General Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Dolores June Pyle of Stonefort, IL, 2 Daughters: Deborah Pyle of Harrisburg, IL and Lorna (Steve) Francis of Goreville, IL; Son: Lyndall (Peggy) Pyle of Lake of Egypt, IL; Brother: Glendal Pyle of Independence, MO; 2 Sisters: Shirley Boyle of Sky Valley, GA and Mary Overstreet of Carrier Mills, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Wesley Noe, Monica Reed, Tabitha Pyle, Justin Francis, Rhiannon Pyle and Brandon, Pyle, and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother: Billy Ray Pyle and an infant sister.
