Barbra Jean Siler

Barbra Jean Siler, 81, of Carrier Mills, IL died Monday November 20, 2023 at 6:22 pm at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Visitation will be held Friday November 24, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Funeral services will be held Monday November 27, 2023 at 11 am at Calvary Baptist Church; 313 Van Buren Avenue; Dixon, IL. Reverend Wayne Epps will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon, IL. She was born on June 11, 1942 in Dixon, IL to the late Walter and Marjorie (Roth) Phelps. She married Richard Siler in 1981 and he preceded in death on March 16, 2011. She retired as a cook from the Kane County Corrections Facility. She loved her roses, working in her puzzle book, watching game shows, scratch off lottery tickets and pull tabs. Barbra is survived by her Children: Cindy Leming of Carrier Mills, IL and Brian (Sue) Leming of Springfield, TN; Stepchildren: Tommy (Karen) Siler of of Sugar Grove, IL; Lorri Siler of Ottawa, IL; Brian (Lisa) Siler of Pikeville, GA and Becky (Nathan) Smith; Grandchildren: Josh Leming, Dustin Leming, Cas Siler, James Siler, Thomas Siler, Oliva Siler, Kaden Siler and Reid Smith; and several great grandchildren; Brother In Law: Raymon Hayes and Sister In Law: Paula Fischer. She as preceded in death by 3 children: Mary Leming, Chris Leming and Kevin Leming; siblings: Betty Finkle, Irene Hayes, Donald Phelps, John Phelps, Leslie Phelps and Leroy Fischer.
