Betty Jane Nowakowski, 60, of Harrisburg, IL died Sunday January 29, 2023 at 5:32 pm at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Graveside services will be held Thursday February 2, 2023 at 12 Noon at Cottage Grove Cemetery near Harrisburg, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 am until 11:30 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Reverend Curt Morris will officiate. Betty was born on September 23, 1962 to the late David Nowakowski and Mary (Williams) Mayberry whom survives. She loved to go camping and doing crafts as well as spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her Companion of over 25 years: Robert Tanner of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Children: Stella Bennett of Raleigh, IL; Donald Frayser of Harrisburg, IL and Faleasha Frayser of Harrisburg, IL; Mother: Mary Mayberry of Harrisburg, IL; 4 Grandchildren: Nathaniel Frayser of Harrisburg, IL; Jassmyn Roberts of Harrisburg, IL; Adian Bennett of Indianapolis, IN and Lukus Ison of Shawneetown, IL; Sister: Josette Nowakowski of Harrisburg, IL and 2 Brothers: David Baker of Benton, IL and Scott Mayberry of Harrisburg, IL. She was preceded in death by her Father: David Nowakowski and Sister: Tanya Baker.
