Beverly Sue Clay

Beverly Sue Clay, 77, of Carrier Mills, IL died on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, IL. Her wishes were to be cremated with no services. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details. Beverly was born on November 7, 1946 in Eldorado, IL to the late Gratton and Helen (Wilson) Wilson. She was a retired Registered Nurse with over 40 years in the field. Her nursing experience ranged from the ER “B” wing, med-surge, home-health, nursing home and VA. However, her true love in nursing was in psych. She was loved by her patients and coworkers, and was an outstanding nurse. Her love in life came from her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a good glass of wine! Beverly is survived by her daughter: Kathy (Zack) Prather of Carrier Mills, IL, sons: Jeremy (Misty) Fulkerson and Alan (Karen) Fulkerson of Harrisburg, IL; a brother: Ron “Butch” Wilson of Harrisburg, IL; grandchildren: Kirstin Herberer, Kory Herberer, Brandon Fulkerson, Alexa (Johnathan) Smith, Hayden Fulkerson, Ryli Fulkerson, Nick Prather, Dylan Hall-Prather, Ayhileen Hall-Prather, Allie Prather, Brittany Baugher, and Courtney (Michael) Sauder; great-grandchildren: Rylee, Kruz and Kaydence Herberer, Nova Lyric, Braxtyn, Annistyn Baugher, Roman Sauder, Briar and Jerseigh Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Robert “Squirrel” Wilson, Ted Wilson and Jerry “Willie” Wilson, and great-grandchild: Kamden Day.
