Billy Dale Smith, 81, of Creal Springs, IL died Saturday December 16, 2023 at his home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 20, 2023 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday after 11 am until service time. Reverend Darrell Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Drake Cemetery. Billy was born on May 18, 1942 in New Burnside, IL to the late Luther and Pearl (Choate) Smith. Billy married the former Joann Conley on September 26, 2003 and she survives. He was a retired construction worker. He enjoyed spending time and telling stories to his family and friends. He also enjoyed working on the farm and taking care of his animals. He is survived by his Wife: Joann Smith of Creal Springs, IL; 2 Sons: Jason (Lori) Smith and Billy (April) Martin both of West Frankfort, IL; Daughter: Julie (Chris) Bedokis of Oklahoma; 3 Step Daughters: Anita Gulley of New Burnside, IL; Alisa (Jeff) Caldwell of Vienna, IL and Augusta (Josh) Gulley of New Burnside, IL;13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
