Bob D. Mitchell

Bob D. Mitchell, 89, of Carrier Mills, IL died Sunday March 27, 2022 at 6:10 am at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehab Center. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 2, 2022 at 4 pm at Walnut Grove Baptist Church near Harrisburg. IL. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family. Bob was born on June 3, 1932 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late J.H. (Gerald) Mitchell and the former Aline Bridges. Bob married Rosalie Toth on January 17, 1953 and she preceded in death on September 2, 2008. Bob was a retired truck driver and loved to sing as his fellow residents and the nursing home staff could attest too. He was a Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Carrier Mills American Legion and also the Carrier Mills American Legion Honor Guard and Ritual Team for many years. He was also a member of the Carrier Mills Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. Bob was survived by 6 Children: Rick (Valeria) Mitchell of Carrier Mills, IL; Rhonda (Jr) Bustamante of Cicero, IL; Steven Mitchell of Harrisburg, IL; Maverick (Lisa) Mitchell of Marseilles, IL; Tom Mitchell of Bowling Green, KY and Mary (Bill) Fugate of Carrier Mills, IL; 2 Sisters: Geri Barnett and Shirl Mitchell-Blackfeather; Brother: Darwin Mitchell; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife: Rosalie Mitchell; Daughter: Regina Mitchell and Brother: Delmar Mitchell.
