Bob Rice

Bob Rice, 79, of rural Creal Springs, IL died Sunday January 17, 2021 at 11:30 pm at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday January 21, 2021 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11 am until service time. Reverend Pete Slivinski will officiate and burial will be in Drake Cemetery will military rites. Due to Covid restrictions we ask that everyone wears a mask and practice social distancing. Bob was born on March 14, 1941 in DuQuoin, IL to the late Howard and Irene (Shannon) Rice. He married the former Helen Conley on August 3, 1963 and she survives. He was a retired truck driver, Air Force Veteran and love to hunt and fish before his illness. He is survived by his Wife: Helen Rice of Creal Springs, IL; 3 Children: Earl Rice and Paul Rice both of Creal Springs, IL and Paula Rice of Crab Orchard, IL; 3 Grandchildren: Jackie Goodman of Galatia, IL, Jon Goodman of Crab Orchard, IL and Joshua Goodman of St. Louis, MO; 2 Sisters: Shirley May of Marion, IL and Evelyn Peterson of Roscoe, IL; 5 Brother In Laws: Denny (Sherry) Conley of New Burnside, IL; Gary (Dixie) Conley of Creal Springs, IL; Randall (Lori) Conley of Vienna, IL; Sonny (Vicki) Conley of Creal Springs, IL and Chris Horn of Creal Springs, IL; 4 Sister In Laws: Mildred Mills of Creal Springs, IL; Laura (Bob) Williams of Lindenhurst, IL; Joann (Billy) Smith of Creal Springs, IL and Lucy Conley of Creal Springs, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother: Raymond Rice; Sister In Law: Marilyn Conley-Horn and 3 Brother In Laws: Kenneth Conley, Freeman Conley and Raymond Conley.
