Bonnie Hooker

Bonnie Hooker, 74, of SRA-McCloud House in Harrisburg, IL departed this world on Wednesday September 4, 2024 at 04:10 PM surrounded by her sister, close friends and caregivers. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday September 12, 2024 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Cottonwood, IL. There will be no visitation, everyone is encouraged to meet at the cemetery. Felty Funeral Home of Carrier Mills, IL is assisting with the arrangements. Bonnie was born on May 24, 1950 in Saline County to the late Tim and Goldie (Bryant) Hooker. She has a twin sister, Rita Hooker, who survives. Bonnie lived in Saline County her entire life and in 1996 she moved into an SRA CILA where she made many friends and eventually family until her passing. Bonnie attended workshop throughout the years at both Coleman Tri County and TRADE Industries until she decided to retire. In her retirement Bonnie enjoyed the extra time she had to spend with her sister Ria and they looked forward to going to get their fish dinners on Fridays at the Golden Circle. Bonnie loved everyone she met and never missed an opportunity to make sure she told you when she saw you. Bonnie loved to laugh, loved music and dancing and just truly enjoyed spending time with the people she had in her life. Bonnie will be missed deeply and everyone will miss her infectious smile and laugh. Bonnie loved the people who took care of her in her home and would want to make sure that they knew how much she appreciated them being a part of her life. Bonnie is survived by her twin sister, Rita Hooker. She was preceded in death by her parents Tim and Goldie (Bryant) Hooker.
