Calvin "Pee Wee" Stone Sr

Calvin “ Pee Wee” Stone Sr., 90, of Ledford, IL died Monday January 16, 2023 at 7:00 am at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday January 20, 2023 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Friday after 9 am until service time. Reverend Trent Duncan will officiate and Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. He was born on October 25, 1932 in Saline County, Illinois to the late Joe and Verdie (Graves) Stone. He married the former Doris Griffith on May 15, 1956 and she preceded in death on April 19, 2014. He was a retired farmer. He was also a retired coal miner working for over 20 years for Peabody Coal Company. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by 4 Children: Sharon Akins of McNeal, AZ; Darla Gibbs of Ledford, IL; Calvin Stone Jr of Springfield, IL and Lola Maynor of Harrisburg, IL; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Wife: Doris Stone; Son: Clifford Eugene Stone; Grandchild: Wilma Jean Gibbs; Sister: Dorothy Smith and 2 Brothers: Joe Stone and Huey Stone.
