Carl Martin Keef Sr., 78, of White Hall, IL formerly of Carrier Mills, and Harrisburg died Friday June 1, 2018 at the Heritage Health Hospice House in Springfield, IL.Funeral services will be held Saturday June 9, 2018 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held after 10 am until service time at the funeral home.  Reverend Harl Cockrum will officiate.  Burial will be in Salem Cemetery with military rites by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legions and the Army National Guard Ritual Team.  Memorials may be made to the Heritage Health Hospice House, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.He was born on July 31, 1939 in DeKalb, IL to the late Harley and Garnett (Wolters) Keef.He married the former Donna Owens and she preceded in death on September 21, 2005.He was a retired mechanic and one of his favorite things was working on automobiles and he loved to go fishing.He was also a Army Veteran.He is survived by his Son: Carl (Susan) Keef, Jr. of Granite City, IL; Daughter: Pamala (Larry) Taylor of Christopher, IL; 5 Brothers: Melvin Keef, Dennis Keef, Randy Keef, Gene Keef, and Gary Keef; Sister: Sandra Keef; 3 Grandchildren: Laren Taylor, Christina Leforge and Taylor Keef.He was preceded in death by his Sister: Nancy Leverton and Brother: Red Keef.
