Carlene Doughty

Carlene Doughty, 81, of Carrier Mills, IL died Sunday December 25, 2022 at 10:07 am at her residence surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held Thursday December 29, 2022 at 12 Noon at Providence Cemetery with Reverend Harold Miller officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 am until 11:30 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. She was born on January 1, 1941 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Rudolph and Junita Ruth (Dempsey) Winters. She married Danny Doughty on December 15, 1961 and he preceded in death on July 2, 2010. She was a retired school bus driver, driving many years for the Carrier Mills/Stonefort School District. She loved to sew and do genealogy, but her greatest love was spending time and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carlene is survived by 2 Daughters: Donna (Allen) Jackson of Stonefort, IL and Denise (John) Abell of Harrisburg, IL; 4 Grandsons: John (Lindsay) Abell; Josh (Jordan) Abell; Eli (Alex) Jackson and Jordan Jackson; 7 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Judye Rann of Carrier Mills, IL and Elsie (Shane) Johnson of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Brothers: Melvin (Mary) Winters of Carrier Mills, IL; Wayne (Rhonda) Winters of Stonefort, IL and Gene Winters of Carrier Mills, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband: Danny Doughty; Sister: Kathy Hughes and 2 Brothers: Jack Winters and Rudy Joe Winters.
