Carmen Neverna Wilson, 60, of Harrisburg, IL died Thursday September 5, 2019 at 2:57 pm at St. Vincent's Hospital in Evansville, IN. Funeral services will be held Friday September 13, 2019 at 12 Noon at the Harvest Deliverance Center in Harrisburg, IL. Visitation will be held after 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery and Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is entrusted with the services. Carmen was born to Clifford and Neverna B. Wilson on February 13, 1959 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. She was the second child of six children (five girls and 1 boy). Carmen graduated from Morganfield High School in Kentucky. She then received her certification as a CNA, was also a licensed security officer. She spent majority of her life devoted to family. Although she never had children of her own, Carmen was a foster mother for over 50 children in the Kansas City area. With her strong will and leadership qualities, she was a corner stone within her family. She professed a hope in Christ while young and was a faithful Christian. She leaves to mourn her Mother: Neverna Jones; Four Sisters: Angela, LaSonya, Tonya, Sydney; One Brother: Christopher; Two Half-sisters: Ronda, Tanya; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. She is preceded in death by her Father: Clifford Wilson; Stepfather: Excel Butler; Brother: William (Junior).
